- Clean up diesel spills immediately.
- Always use exhaust ventilation fans.
- Refrain from running a diesel engine in an enclosed area.
- Avoid touching diesel.
- Always wear the appropriate protective gear when working with or around diesel.
- If skin comes into contact with diesel fuel, immediately wash the affected area immediately.
- If exposed to large amounts of diesel fumes, get away from them and take deep breaths of fresh air.
- Always ensure the engine is turned off when fuelling a vehicle.
